Terms of Use

1. Service purpose

DriveSplit helps estimate and divide journey-related costs. It is a convenience tool, not accounting, navigation, tax or legal advice. You remain responsible for checking a result before relying on or sharing it.

2. Estimates and source accuracy

Routes, distance, travel time, vehicle consumption, fuel used and journey cost can differ from real conditions. Vehicle catalogue consumption values are type-approval estimates. Map routes come from Apple services. Official Spanish station prices may be delayed, incomplete or different because of discounts and pump conditions. Manual inputs may contain mistakes.

Where accuracy matters, use actual pump receipts, odometer distance and measured consumption and agree the method with the other participants.

3. Safe use

Do not interact with DriveSplit while driving. Set up the journey before moving and stop safely before reviewing, changing or finishing it. The tracking display is informational and is not a navigation system or a substitute for attention to the road.

4. DriveSplit Pro subscriptions

DriveSplit may offer auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. The exact product, localized price, billing period and any trial shown by Apple at purchase control the transaction. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions normally renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, subject to Apple’s terms and the information shown in your storefront.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting DriveSplit does not itself cancel a subscription. Restore Purchases can restore an eligible entitlement. Refund requests are handled under Apple’s processes and applicable law.

5. Access when Pro ends

When a Pro entitlement expires, Pro-gated actions may become unavailable. Existing locally stored vehicles and journeys are not intentionally deleted merely because Pro expires.

6. Acceptable use

You may use DriveSplit for lawful personal purposes. Do not misuse the app or connected services, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, automate excessive requests to public services or use the app to deceive others about a journey or payment.

7. Availability and changes

The app and external services may sometimes be unavailable, changed or discontinued. Features may change in later releases where permitted by law. Manual journey calculation and manual fuel-price entry are designed as fallbacks but are not guaranteed to be uninterrupted.

8. Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DriveSplit is provided without a promise that every estimate, route, price or result is exact or suitable for a particular purpose. The developer is not responsible for losses caused solely by an unverified estimate, unsafe use while driving or an unavailable third-party service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights and liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury where applicable.

9. Apple

Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for DriveSplit except as required by law. Your use of the App Store and Apple services is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms.

10. Governing terms

Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections depend on where you live. These terms are not intended to deprive you of protections in your country of residence.
